ARLINGTON, Texas -- The Detroit Tigers snapped a season-worst six-game losing streak by defeating the Texas Rangers 2-1.

Matt Vierling hit a tiebreaking single with two outs in the eighth inning, scoring Gleyber Torres and securing the victory for the Tigers. The base hit came off Chris Martin, who was charged with the loss.
