Saturday night the New York Mets defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers 3-0. The game had been a stellar pitchers' duel for much of the contest, featuring outstanding performances from the Mets' Jacob deGrom and the Dodgers' Hyun-Jin Ryu. The scoreless tie was broken in the eighth inning when Rajai Davis delivered a three-run double off Julio Urias with two outs, which proved to be the decisive hit.
